“Leaving Tottenham Was the Best Decision of My Life” — World-Class Tottenham Player Brutally BLASTS Club Just Two Months After Shocking Loan Move Away from White Hart Lane Despite Taking Part in the Club’s Pre-Season Match… Fans Can’t Believe What He Said

Abbott made 579 minutes of football for the League One side before his season was cut short by an injury in April.

Despite the setback, Mansfield boss Nigel Clough was quick to praise the impact the young midfielder had made at Field Mill.

The 21-year-old came through Tottenham’s academy and has previously gained experience on loan at Notts County and Wycombe Wanderers as he continues to develop.

During the winter transfer window, Abbott made another temporary move, joining Mansfield in search of valuable first-team football and another opportunity to continue his progress.

His performances impressed the Stags enough for the club to bring him back on another season-long loan this summer, allowing him to build on the foundations he laid during his first spell in Nottinghamshire.

However, Abbott is yet to feature this season after suffering the injury, although he has recently returned to full team training.

The Tottenham loanee has described his time at Mansfield last season as extremely valuable, insisting that he gained plenty from the experience despite picking up an injury towards the end of the campaign.

Now encouraged by his recovery, Abbott is eager to continue where he left off and hopes to make an even greater contribution in front of goal by providing more goals and assists for Mansfield.

Speaking on Mansfield’s official channel about whether he was pleased with his loan spell last season, Abbott said:

“100 per cent. I think last season was really good for me, especially getting back on the pitch after the previous season.

“So all of that was brilliant for me, and I think I got more than enough out of it last season.

“It was only towards the end that I got injured, so I don’t think it affected me that much.

“And now I’m back almost at the start of this season.

“I think not missing too much football has been really good for me, and hopefully I can carry on what I did last season, get more goals and assists, and progress.”

Clough has already suggested that Abbott could be in contention to face Port Vale next Tuesday, providing another major boost for both the youngster and Mansfield.

Tottenham will also be hoping to see the academy graduate return to action and continue his development with regular first-team football.

Meanwhile, another Spurs loanee, Pape Matar Sarr, has recently received significant praise for his performances since making the move to Juventus.

Guglielmo Vicario has also enjoyed a positive spell in Turin, with a former Juventus goalkeeper highlighting the Tottenham goalkeeper’s apparent “desire for revenge.”
