World-Class Tottenham Star Loses His Spot as Club’s Most Respected Player After Roberto De Zerbi Reconfirms January Exit with No U-Turn Decision: The Board Doesn’t Want Him After What He Did to Ruin His Relationship with the Fans

Richarlison is entering the final stages of his Tottenham Hotspur contract and appears to have no future at the club under Roberto De Zerbi. The Brazilian forward had several opportunities to leave during the summer transfer window, but none resulted in a permanent move.

Tottenham signed Richarlison from Everton in 2022, and his former club explored the possibility of bringing him back in August. However, David Moyes’ side were unable to reach an agreement with Spurs.

De Zerbi subsequently excluded the 29-year-old from Tottenham’s Premier League squad and has no plans to involve him in domestic cup competitions.

Richarlison’s Attempts to Leave Tottenham

Richarlison also considered a return to Brazil before the country’s transfer window closed on September 11. The forward had reportedly explored the possibility of terminating his Tottenham contract last month in an attempt to secure an exit.

However, Spurs were unwilling to agree to his request, while Vasco da Gama, who had made a serious attempt to sign him, eventually withdrew from the negotiations.

Since then, Richarlison has been unable to make a senior appearance for De Zerbi’s side, further highlighting his difficult situation in north London.

Earlier this week, the Brazilian featured for Tottenham Hotspur’s Under-21 side in their EFL Trophy defeat to Cheltenham Town. With regular first-team opportunities unlikely to come his way, a January departure could offer him the chance to revive his career.

ESPN Brasil has now provided an update on the forward’s situation, with Tottenham reportedly becoming more flexible over their demands.

Tottenham Lower Their Asking Price

With Richarlison’s contract due to expire in 2027, Tottenham were demanding between €20 million and €25 million for his services during the summer transfer window.

However, the club are unlikely to receive anything close to that amount in January, given his lack of playing time and the uncertainty surrounding his long-term future.

As a result, Spurs are now reportedly ‘willing to facilitate’ his departure and have reduced their asking price to just €10 million.

The significant reduction could attract renewed interest from clubs hoping to secure the Brazilian international during the winter transfer window.

Galatasaray and Trabzonspor Remain Interested

Richarlison still has potential destinations in Europe, with Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Trabzonspor reportedly monitoring his situation.

According to journalist Bruno Andrade, who covered the report for ESPN Brasil, ‘talks are ongoing’ behind the scenes with both clubs as they consider the possibility of signing the Tottenham forward.

Trabzonspor previously held direct negotiations with Spurs during the summer but were unable to complete a deal.

However, Tottenham’s reduced asking price could encourage the Turkish club to return with another offer in January.

The lower valuation could also attract additional suitors, potentially increasing competition for Richarlison’s signature alongside Galatasaray and Trabzonspor.

With his opportunities at Tottenham severely limited, the January transfer window could represent a crucial opportunity for the Brazilian to secure a fresh start elsewhere.
