I would like to discuss THAT footage of Silver Springs from the Burbank, California, filming on May 23, 1997. That particular one.
That was very heartbreaking to me because I always imagined they were still chilly and hadn’t been conversing until now. Nicks later said that it was staged and done for ”
posterity,” but I believe that the events of 1997 involve much more. Furthermore, it’s nearly more tragic than it appears. You don’t realize the depth of that mature romantic agony until you’re older and less attractive.
First, the circumstances on May 23, when the tape was made: Lindsey and Stevie appeared to be rediscovering one another.
The producer/engineer and director stated that nothing exceptional about Silver Springs was present during the rehearsals until the Friday of the show’s taping in an August 2017 Rolling Stone interview.
Elliot Scheiner, the concert film’s producer and engineer, admitted to RS that he couldn’t recall ever hearing “Silver Springs” performed during rehearsals. Bruce Gowers, the filmmaker, also can’t recall anything noteworthy about the song’s early iterations. It was a permanent fixture on the set.
This was a wild ride lol. I am fascinated by their relationship, not gonna lie. Its so bitter sweet and so so sad at times.

From lover, to high priestess.” and I agree with you, although I don’t think their romantic relationship ended there. It was definitely different from 1997 on, since he had his first kid in 1998 and got married in 2000. As Mick once said.. I think they are addicted to it.
I have to me that they “reconnected” from time to time, maybe when on tour… Say You Will was definitely something with all the symbolisms and emotional lyrics and performances. The later tours were more hot and cold, depending on the year.
And then 2018 happened and showed us that there were way more happening behind the scenes than we tought, because everything seemed fine up until that moment. I believe the day Lindsey got fired it was the day their relationship ended for good, 50 years after it started. And he for sure knows very well why he was fired.
