“Welcome, He’s Here to Stay!” — Daniel Farke has confirmed that 25-year old Premier League star forward is a Leeds Player after Signing 3-years Contract at Elland Road, He’s set to Start vs Arsenal after the International Break

Leeds United have already started making plans for the January transfer window despite Daniel Farke’s side making a strong return to Premier League football.

The Whites have collected nine points from their opening five league matches and remain unbeaten, giving supporters plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the season ahead.

Behind the scenes, however, Farke and the club’s recruitment team are already assessing the squad.

The January window will inevitably bring questions about which areas need strengthening, which players could benefit from a move and, perhaps most importantly, which members of the current squad remain central to Farke’s plans.

Not every player has enjoyed the same start to the campaign.

One Leeds midfielder in particular has seen his role change considerably over the opening weeks, with the 25-year-old moving from starter to substitute in the space of just a few matches.

That has naturally raised questions about his future at Elland Road.

Leeds finalise transfer decision on 25-year-old

Brenden Aaronson started Leeds’ opening two Premier League matches of the season after signing a new three-year contract during the summer.

Since then, however, his involvement has changed.

Aaronson has come off the bench in each of Leeds’ last three Premier League matches, meaning he has watched the opening stages of those games from the sidelines while Farke has opted for alternative options.

That development could easily have sparked speculation that the American might be available in January.

But despite his reduced role, Leeds reportedly have no intention of entertaining offers for him when the transfer window reopens.

According to Football Insider, the club have decided that Aaronson remains an important part of Farke’s plans and will not be looking to move him on in January.

That decision is significant because Aaronson only recently committed his future to Leeds.

The new contract gives the club long-term security over the midfielder, while his versatility means Farke can still call upon him in several different roles.

Aaronson can operate as an attacking midfielder or from a wider position, while his biggest value to Farke often comes when Leeds are required to work extremely hard without possession.

His energy and willingness to press make him particularly useful when Leeds face stronger opponents and need players capable of covering large areas of the pitch.

There is also reportedly no desire from Aaronson himself to leave Elland Road.

The midfielder is said to want to fight for his place rather than search for an exit, giving Farke another reason to keep him around as the season develops.

His current situation, therefore, appears to be more about competition for places than a breakdown in the relationship between player and manager.

However, there is one major area where Aaronson needs to improve.

Leeds fans want more from Aaronson in the final third

For all the qualities Farke appreciates, Aaronson’s attacking numbers remain a significant talking point.

The midfielder has not scored a Premier League goal since the beginning of January and has also gone 10 league appearances without creating a goal.

That lack of production becomes particularly noticeable because of the position Aaronson occupies.

Players operating as attacking midfielders or wide forwards are ultimately expected to influence matches in the final third.

Running, pressing and covering ground are valuable qualities, but goals and assists remain the clearest way for an attacking player to demonstrate his impact.

That is where Aaronson still has work to do.

His contribution without the ball is clearly appreciated by Farke, but Leeds supporters understandably want to see more when the team has possession.

The American has already shown during his time at Elland Road that he can contribute energy and intensity to the side.

What has been missing is consistency in the decisive moments.

That may explain why Farke has been willing to use him from the bench despite recently handing him a new contract.

The manager does not appear to have given up on Aaronson.

Quite the opposite.

Leeds’ reported decision not to listen to offers suggests that Farke still sees a role for him during what could become an increasingly demanding Premier League campaign.

There is also plenty of football still to be played before January.

An injury, a change in formation, a difficult run of fixtures or simply a sustained improvement in training could quickly alter the midfielder’s situation.

For Aaronson, the challenge is straightforward.

He needs to turn his work rate and movement into tangible production.

If he can start adding goals and assists to the qualities Farke already values, it would become considerably harder for the manager to leave him out of the starting XI.

For now, though, Leeds appear to have made their position clear.

Aaronson may have slipped down the pecking order in recent Premier League matches, but the club do not appear ready to give up on him.

His new contract remains in place, Farke still values what he brings to the squad, and the player himself wants to fight for his place.

The decision has therefore been made.

Aaronson is not being lined up for the January exit.

But Leeds supporters will expect him to give them a reason to understand exactly why.
