NFL Report: Chicago Bears star quarterback say’s no to join the Team again due to…..

The Bears could draft Caleb Williams and retain Justin Fields.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN NFL Insider, Chicago is thinking about playing both quarterbacks.

The Chicago Bears offseason centers around one major question: What to do at quarterback? Should the team draft for need, or trade Justin Fields and select Caleb Williams?

Adam Schefter of ESPN NFL Insiders reports that the Bears are thinking of rostering two signal-callers.

“As improbable as it may seem, the Bears have discussed the idea of carrying both quarterbacks,” Schefter stated prior to the Super Bowl on ESPN. “Keeping Fields and taking the guy at one.” Will they get around to that now? Though it’s difficult to believe, the organization has had a discussion about it.

According to Ian Rappoport of NFL Network, the Bears have requested “a historical haul” in order to advance to the first overall pick.

For the Bears to drop out of the running for the first overall pick, something extraordinary would need to happen, according to Rapoport. “There are numerous implications for that piece of information. To begin with, That suggests that, barring some kind of bizarre draft compensation for a team attempting to trade up for Caleb Williams, Accor will probably select a quarterback near the top of the class.

Is this really a ploy by the Bears to increase the asking price for Fields and the top pick? Most likely, but even if they choose not to follow through, it’s still a wise decision. Fields just achieved career highs in completion percentage, success rate, and passing yards. He is still not a great passer, but he is also continuing to improve every year. At the very least, drafting Williams first overall allows Chicago to assess Fields’ future thoroughly before making a decision.

Right now, sitting rookie quarterbacks is also showing to be a very wise move. Both Brock Purdy and Patrick Mahomes, the starting quarterbacks in Super Bowl LVIII, spent their first training camp learning on the sidelines.beneath an experienced person. The same holds true for Lamar Jackson, the MVP of this year, and Jordan Love, the standout rookie.

It’s not flawless in every situation. Prior to his breakthrough season in his third year, Josh Allen had a string of bad seasons where he started every game. Without having to sit down, C.J. Stroud, the offensive rookie of the year, tore up the NFL right away. It’s not required for every individual. Allowing a player fresh out of college to become familiar with the structure and timing of a professional team before throwing them in with the big boys is just common sense.

Furthermore, it makes sense to take as many swings as possible at quarterback. Josh Rosen didn’t sit well with the Arizona Cardinals, so the very next year, they selected Kyler Murray first overall. Six of the past ten drafts have seen the New England Patriots select a quarterback, and five of those picks have gone on to start games for their NFL teams.

It would take a historic haul, something crazy for the Bears to move off of the No. 1 overall selection,” Rapoport said. “That information has far-reaching implications. First of all, that suggests they would probably select a quarterback at number one unless they receive some kind of outrageous draft compensation for a player attempting to move up for Caleb Williams.

Fields just achieved career highs in completion percentage, success rate, and passing yards. Although he is still not a particularly good passer, he gets better every year. At the very least, choosing Williams first overall offers Chicago an opportunity to make a comprehensiveassessment on Fields’ prospects before continuing.

Every team wants to have a quarterback of the highest caliber. Given that the Bears’ lone Hall of Fame quarterback passed away in 1950, they must seize every opportunity to locate their man.
